Exciting opportunity for a full-time, Field Service Engineer in our client's Equipment Division.   The Field Service Engineer will provide on-site machine installation, troubleshooting, repair and training for our domestic and international customers.  As a Field Service Engineer, you will.. - Test, troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic mechanical functions per machine capabilities in field at customer production sites. - Conduct training with customer’s employees to ensure proper operation of equipment. - Customer focused to exceed our customer’s expectations. - Perform field service repair, installation and start-up of machines, including but not limited to complete electrical and hydraulic integration. - Responsible for timely and accurate documenting of all service related activities. - Ability to troubleshoot PLC’s and drives. - Provide customer service technical phone support. - Assist in mechanical/electrical assembly and testing of equipment to meet scheduled deliveries. - Exercise safe working practices and procedures at all times Experience and Skills: - Completion of an accredited two-year associate’s degree and/or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent accrued experience and on-the-job training. - Five years of field service experience. - Previous Plastic injection molding experience is a plus. - Strong troubleshooting ability to support electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and servo applications. - Ability to read hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic drawings and schematic prints. - PLC experience preferably with Allen Bradley (Logix 500 and 5000). - Servo drive experience preferably with Rexroth (Indraworks). - Projects a positive attitude with customers and co-workers. - Strong and professional interpersonal skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including communicating effectively using professional e-mail etiquette. - Solid analytic, diagnosis and problem solving skills. - Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision or in a team environment. - Strong time management and organizational skills. - Ability to multi-task. - Willingness to continually learn and support new technologies. - Must be able to travel up to 80% domestically and internationally.

Field Service Technician   - Support the installation and commissioning of projects on site. - Must take personal ownership for customer satisfaction. - Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis in response to customer’s shop and field service needs.  - Execute preventative and corrective maintenance on customer and company rental equipment. - Support Project Manager with data collection and metrics of installation. - Support Technical Services Shop Leader by completing work orders in assigned time and with a high level of accuracy. - Support continuous development and cost reduction efforts by providing feedback and lessons learned. - Communicate effectively and professionally with external and internal customers both during the project planning and on site phases of the project. - Manage change order process on site and work with Project Management to ensure proper billing. - Help to develop Field Service and Site Management processes.  JOB REQUIREMENTS - Great mechanical aptitude and ability to plan complex equipment assembly of equipment on an industrial site. - Must have a minimum of 2 years work experience in a mechanical/industrial role. - Must have clean and professional appearance to positively represent company in the field - Associates degree in a technical discipline is preferred - Must be able to travel up to 70% of the time - Must demonstrate the ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical engineering design and assembly drawings - Must have a understanding and appreciation for site safety policies and procedures. - Must have strong leadership abilities and “thick skin” to manage multiple subcontractors on a job site. - Must be able to effectively resolve conflicts. - Must be able to demonstrate excellent organizational & critical thinking skills - Must have a high sense of urgency and ability to “get it done” on site. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Installs, services or repairs mechanical and electronic equipment at the customer's site, our manufacturing sites, or sales and service offices.   - Utilizes hand tools and test equipment to perform work. - Requires knowledge of equipment specifications. - Discusses with engineering problems relating to maintenance or operation of equipment. - Field train customers. - Performs in house phone troubleshooting support to customers. - Supports sales for product demonstrations. - Provides a range of known solutions to problems. - Innovates on the fly to resolve new and unique problems.  - May be asked to cover after hours phone troubleshooting. - Will be asked to travel extensively, around the world. - Build and maintain customer relationships. - Performs other duties as assigned by manager.   QUALIFICATIONS: - Require minimal direct supervision. - Organizational skills. - Microsoft Outlook and Excel knowledge. - Expert knowledge of supplied machinery. - Ability to accurately and effectively communicate problems and suggest possible solutions. - Will require travel up to 100% of the time. Normally one week out, sometimes up to two weeks out.

The Generator Technician requires the highest-level technical knowledge and the ability to perform tasks above and beyond the normal technician responsibilities. Based in various locations in the Southeast, the position reports directly to the Service Manager. This technician possesses a high level of knowledge, dedication and work ethic required to quickly learn the engine driven generator systems, repairs and operations; that allows them to perform major repairs, overhauls and installations of engines, generators and associated equipment.   Responsibilities: - Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting of gas engines, generators, controls, switchgear, emissions controls, and auxiliary equipment. - Mechanical troubleshooting and repairs on all generating set systems, including: fuel delivery, ignition, lube oil, cooling, exhaust systems, turbo charging as well as engine internal components. - Performing minor and major engine overhauls in the field, including generator end bearings. - Electrical troubleshooting and problem solving requires strong AC/DC power skills, ability to read and interpret schematics, troubleshoot and repair electrical contactors, motors, relays, contacts, generator components, and controls. - Troubleshoot, repair and replace PLC control systems, relays, digital/analog inputs-outputs. - Learn and work independently, exhibit common sense and good judgment, and foster a safe working environment Skills/Experience: - Computer literate - Good oral, written, and inter-personal skills - Minimum of 2-3 years work experience either in power generation service, industrial mechanical-electrical troubleshooting and repairs, or marine engineering. Reciprocating engine experience is a must. - Technical school, related military technical, electrical/mechanical engineering degrees, or maritime engineering backgrounds preferred Abilities:  - Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic and mechanical drawings - Ability to diagnose and carry out major repairs, DC circuits 12/24/v - Ability to tie in to customer’s electrical panels. - Self-starter, exercises good judgment, is proactive, and demonstrates timely follow-through. - Practiced organizational skills; adherence to timelines and schedules; and attention to detail. - Professional and effective skills of written and verbal communication and concisely document all work and repairs completed in the field - Maintain necessary legal and technical certifications. - Willingness and ability to manage through collaboration; embrace accountability; share responsibility; and develop employees for personal and professional growth. - Know and follow all safety requirements - Safely operate a company vehicle & safe driving record Travel:  - Travel 75% - 90% within region, for up to 3 weeks at a time Physical Demands:   While performing the duties of this position, service technicians are regularly required to: - Use hands/fingers to handle or feel - Reach with hands and arms - Stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl - Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
