Oversee the day-to-day operation of the Physics Department, which is responsible for conducting research into radiation shielding materials, developing shielding designs complete with physics calculations, and devising innovative methods to provide clients with value-added shielding solutions. The position is the primary company contact on all shielding physics issues and will collaborate with physicists, radiation oncologists, consultants, engineers, architects and project management on a regular basis. Focus is on external beam medical radiation therapy producing photons, neutrons, and other positive ions. - Application Engineering: - Understand a diverse portfolio of Food Processing equipment and its technical benefits then leverage that knowledge to make equipment and application recommendations. - Review of customer specifications, commercial documents, and internal standards documentation to determine scope of project supply. - Perform equipment sizing calculations including heat and mass balance. - Utilize AutoCAD to generate pre-sale Conceptual Layout Drawings (CLD) in 2D. - Utilize Autodesk Inventor to generate Conceptual equipment blocks in 3D and create 3D layouts. - Estimating - Utilize SAP historical data, design review, and statistical analysis to create cost estimates for custom engineered and manufactured equipment. - Updating our equipment price book by leveraging historical data and statistical analysis. - Generate and assemble quotes based on customer needs and quote text library. - Create sales presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint. - Utilize Microsoft Dynamics CRM to organize and prioritize workload. - Drive the sales handover process to the project team upon order receipt.  - Provide feedback to management for continuous improvement of quoting and estimating. - Monitor projects as they proceed through their lifecycle for discrepancies from estimate. - Mobility as required to review equipment during construction and during production offsite. - Support internal customers in project management, engineering, and field service. - Occasional travel to customer facilities for meetings and to take site measurements. - Overtime work may be required.   Required Education and Experience - B.S. in engineering, related technical field, or equivalent experience with food equipment. - 2-5 years of applicable experience in cost estimating or sales engineering. - CAD experience including 2D layouts required, 3D experience is a plus. - Mechanical aptitude or experience to understand manufacturing methods and predict costs. - Experience in food processing equipment or industrial equipment manufacturing is a plus. - Experience working in SAP is a plus. - Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite. - Experience working with CRM (Customer Relations Management) software is a plus.

- Review sales hand-off documents including final quotes, project cost estimates, customer purchase orders, performance guarantees, specifications. Identify potential commercial and technical issues and work with sales teams to negotiate with customers. - Set up and maintain sales orders and projects within SAP. - Conduct project kick-off meetings and publish meeting notes. - Establish and drive project schedule, using SAP and occasionally Microsoft Project. - Procure specialized machinery and controls from outside vendors. Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions. Issue purchase requisitions in SAP, follow through to ensure purchase orders are issued. Follow up with vendors on schedules, drawings, approval, pre-shipment equipment check-outs. Negotiate and resolve any field issues with vendors. - Follow equipment through mechanical and electrical engineering, manufacturing, check-out, pre-shipment testing and shipping to see all customer specifications are met. Visit vendors and other plants as required. - Provide verbal project updates at weekly orders-in-progress (OIP) meetings. Maintain text and statuses in SAP to provide written project updates on the OIP report. - Provide guidance and support to the field service dept. during installation and start-up. - Manage all project scope, specs, schedule changes once hand-off from sales team has occurred. - Monitor and analyze project costs and provide recommendations for future projects. Schedule and conduct project close-out meetings to identify source of discrepancies between planned and actual costs. - Interface with customer and field service to generate and maintain project "punch list". Arrange for visits to customer's site to address warranty issues and time of installation and start-up and set up warranty sales orders to get parts on site. - Overtime may be required, and other duties as assigned by your manager. Required Education and Experience - B.S. in mechanical or industrial engineering - At least five (5) years of experience within the food industry. - Software skills: Microsoft Office including Excel, MS Project, SAP, CRM, AutoCAD viewer. - Understand equipment assembly drawings, system layout drawings, electrical drawings. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual a plus. - Available to travel up to 20%, both within the U.S. and internationally.

Requirements: - Must have training and practical experience troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems including, but not limited to, vessels, aircraft, ground support equipment, vehicles, etc… - Must be proficient in reading technical manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams and in the use of testing equipment such as multi meters. - Must be able to relocate regionally (southeast, mid-atlantic, northeast, midwest, southwest, west, northwest) provide us a region so we can match you with the best opportunity. - Must have a desire to travel extensively overnights throughout the U.S. - Must have better than average customer service and people skills.
