The Generator Technician requires the highest-level technical knowledge and the ability to perform tasks above and beyond the normal technician responsibilities. Based in various locations in the Southeast, the position reports directly to the Service Manager. This technician possesses a high level of knowledge, dedication and work ethic required to quickly learn the engine driven generator systems, repairs and operations; that allows them to perform major repairs, overhauls and installations of engines, generators and associated equipment.   Responsibilities: - Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting of gas engines, generators, controls, switchgear, emissions controls, and auxiliary equipment. - Mechanical troubleshooting and repairs on all generating set systems, including: fuel delivery, ignition, lube oil, cooling, exhaust systems, turbo charging as well as engine internal components. - Performing minor and major engine overhauls in the field, including generator end bearings. - Electrical troubleshooting and problem solving requires strong AC/DC power skills, ability to read and interpret schematics, troubleshoot and repair electrical contactors, motors, relays, contacts, generator components, and controls. - Troubleshoot, repair and replace PLC control systems, relays, digital/analog inputs-outputs. - Learn and work independently, exhibit common sense and good judgment, and foster a safe working environment Skills/Experience: - Computer literate - Good oral, written, and inter-personal skills - Minimum of 2-3 years work experience either in power generation service, industrial mechanical-electrical troubleshooting and repairs, or marine engineering. RESPONSIBILITIES   As the first RILS representative scheduled to meet Customer Production Management staff, the Process Analyst projects confidence and professionalism. This role combines analytical capabilities with the know-how to convince seasoned senior Production management that opportunities exist to improve their operations. Employment starts at REISER HQ, with comprehensive training on REISER equipment and RILS Field Audit Procedures. Analyst is scheduled to audit one production facility per week. Each customer engagement is 5 days in length starting with arrival at customer facility to final wrap-up meeting for presentation of findings to senior Production Management staff. Focus -along with diplomacy - is critical for success. At Customer premise, the Process Analyst is responsible for: 1. Conduct Equipment Wellness Assessments; Audit Installed equipment; Review performance vs standards, maintenance and repair procedures and records; assess competencies of mechanics and operator personnel; 2. Confer with staff and management regarding procedures, product specifications, production standards and manufacturing capabilities, resource allocation, personnel assignment and scheduling; 3. Production Line Efficiency - Review production schedules, engineering specifications, work flow and procedures, process flows, and other information to understand operations sequence in production process, along with work standards records, set-up and run times for all manufacturing processes; 4. Observe production line identifying equipment and operator activities - workers, machines, material flow, information, and energy; 5. Use REISER proprietary audit tools and methodology to observe and take measurements; 6. Collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data, summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from a range of data sources; 7. Use MS Excel for mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing throughput and efficiency rates of production equipment. Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, staff requirements, and production standards; 8. Present findings to senior management with focus and diplomacy ensuring a positive commitment to launch proactive Process Improvement programs through RILS 9. BS degree in Process, Industrial, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering 10. 2-5 years’ experience Production Operations or Technical Service 11. Understanding of Kaizen and LEAN manufacturing concepts 12. Process Measurement - Basic expertise to identify and create qualitative and quantitative measures of success and failure; 13. Analytical Skills - Skill and expertise to collect , organize, synthesize, and analyze data, summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations; 14. Quantitative Skills: Math, MS Excel spreadsheet 15.
