Laser Field Service Technician
As a Field Service Technician, you will comine your skills within customer service, and the mechanical and electrical knowledge to repair, troubleshoot, modify and test complex technical problems on machining products. Extensive travel within a set geographical area is required and occasional travel throughout North America. The services are provided on-site at our customer’s facilities and via telephone if the situation permits. Overview:
We are looking for electromechanical technicians with the ability to travel nationwide. Our company has an outstanding training program and is looking for people who have a passion for troubleshooting industrial equipment as well as a strong customer service side.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Installs, services or repairs mechanical and electronic equipment at the customer's site and our manufacturing site
- Utilizes hand tools and test equipment to perform work including multimeters.
- Requires knowledge of equipment specifications.
- Discusses engineering problems relating to maintenance or operation of equipment.
- Train customers on equipment operation
- Act as troubleshooting support from phone when needed
- Supports sales for product demonstrations
- Will be asked to travel extensively around the United States.
- Build and maintain customer relationships.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Require minimal direct supervision.
- Organizational skills.
- Microsoft Outlook and Excel knowledge.
- Expert knowledge of supplied machinery.
- Ability to accurately and effectively communicate problems and suggest possible solutions.
- Will require travel up to 75% of the time.

Our technicians are home based, required to travel to customer sites in their region and are eligible for a company vehicle.
Duties for this job include repair, assembly, and troubleshooting of hot runners and hot runner controllers at customer facilities while working collaboratively with the customer support team and support customers calls when not on-onsite.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
- Repair, assembly and troubleshooting of hot runner and controllers
- Provide observations, feedback, measurement data, and recommendations to factory
support for next actions toward resolution and warranty determination
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree technical college diploma preferred or Military Experience
- 2+ years of mechanical assembly and/or troubleshooting required
- 5+ years injection molding experience, maintenance, and/or repair preferred
- Use of measuring tools including electrical multimeter, bore gauge, and micrometer
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Must be able to travel, and stand on feet for longer periods of time
