Electrical Engineer – Chicago, IL

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support industrial operations, reduce contractor reliance, and strengthen in‑house technical capability. This role focuses on low-voltage systems, industrial power, and NEC-compliant design in manufacturing and hazardous environments.
This position is ideal for engineers who enjoy hands-on problem solving, improving electrical reliability, and supporting a collaborative technical team. Candidates with industrial backgrounds or military engineering experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
What You’ll Do
- Provide in‑house electrical engineering support for industrial facilities and production environments.
- Design, troubleshoot, and maintain low-voltage and power systems, including:
4–20mA instrumentation, 120V control circuits, Lighting circuits, and occasional exposure to 4160V motors
- Interpret and create wiring diagrams, conduit schedules, and electrical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with National Electric Code (NEC) and hazardous location requirements.
- Collaborate with mechanical and operations teams to improve system reliability and reduce downtime.
What You Bring
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
- 3+ years of electrical engineering experience
- Strong working knowledge of NEC, hazardous locations, and industrial safety practices.
- Hands-on experience with low-voltage systems, instrumentation, and power distribution.
- Ability to read, interpret, and develop electrical drawings and schematics.
