CAD Designer, P&ID – Immediate Hiring Need

Compensation: $60–80K Depending on Experience

Benefits: Excellent package

Location: Chicago, IL (relocation required)

 

We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer to join our growing consulting team. We specialize in delivering engineering solutions for industrial plant design, construction, and operation across a wide range of industries and are experiencing outstanding growth.

 

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-quality models using 2D and 3D CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Leica Cloudworx for AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Whitecloud.

  • Produce designs that meet targets for feasibility, performance, costs, quality, safety, legislation, and timing.

  • Create two- and three-dimensional technical drawings, renderings, and elevations.

  • Perform site visits to measure and capture layouts in 3D, ensuring accuracy of designs.

  • Apply knowledge of pipes, liquids, valves, HVAC systems, and P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) to design solutions that meet client needs.

  • Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and other team members to deliver integrated solutions.

  • Ensure compliance with company design, safety, quality, environmental, and procedural standards.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients to align designs with project goals.

Qualifications

  • Practical experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Plant 3D, SolidWorks, Pro/ENGINEER, Navisworks, and Whitecloud.

  • Background in HVAC design, piping systems, valves, and P&ID development highly desirable.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to conduct site measurements and translate them into accurate 3D models.

Preferred Experience (Not Required)

  • Familiarity with mechanical devices and systems.

  • Military background — Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.
