Field Service Technician Needed

Full Time-$80-100K First Year

 

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting advanced CNC Lathes and Machining Centers, providing customer training on operations, and performing both warranty and post-warranty service. You will work independently from your home base, supporting customers throughout your assigned region, which will involve regular overnight travel.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot CNC machines and accessories
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, software, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
  • Conduct post-installation testing to ensure optimal performance.
  • Train customers on machine operation, maintenance, and safety procedures.
  • Stay current with new product features and technologies.
  • Accurately document all service work, including diagnostics, parts used, and resolutions.
  • Travel frequently, including overnight stays, to various customer locations.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools such as gauges, test indicators, and force meters.

Qualifications:

  • A two-year technical degree (mechanical, electrical, or machine tool technology) or equivalent military experience.
  • Proficiency in reading engineering drawings.
  • Ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment.
  • Understanding of PLC controls (preferred).
  • Experience with hydraulic/pneumatic circuits and general computer literacy.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
