Carpenter Needed for Industrial Plant
Full-Time Position with Competitive Benefits
Location: Trenton, NJ (Position is onsite M-F 7:00 AM-4:00 PM)
Our company is looking for a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll play an integral part in our operations, applying your expertise and craftsmanship to a variety of projects. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to expand your skills and take on responsibilities across all areas of our shop.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cut wood to specified lengths using saws
- Assemble skids and crates
- Transport raw materials and finished products using hand trucks or forklifts
- Stage raw materials for assembly
- Package finished goods for shipment
- Stock completed items in designated locations
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Operate forklifts upon certification
- Support other departments as needed to meet production goals
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in carpentry, construction, or military-related work
- 3+ years of experience operating and maintaining wood-cutting and assembly equipment (table saw, beam saw, upcut saw, etc.)
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Skilled in performing complex tasks with precision
- High level of initiative and creativity to navigate challenging situations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Effective communication with coworkers and customers
- Leadership qualities, including the ability to mentor and supervise team members
- Exceptional attention to detail
