Join our dynamic team as an electromechanical Field Service Technician where you will utilize your customer communication skills and mechanical/electrical expertise to tackle complex technical challenges. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, modify, and test tools while traveling within the US. We are committed to training individuals for prosperous careers in the assembly industry and fostering lasting customer relationships.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Travel to customer sites to diagnose complex technical problems, perform on-site repairs, and conduct preventative maintenance
  • Perform disassembly and reassembly of tools as necessary
  • Troubleshoot technical issues via telephone
  • Maintain professional communication with customers
  • Interpret schematics and block diagrams to analyze problems
  • Document product issues and resolutions in detail

 

Qualifications:

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems (servo motors, bearings, gearing, ball screws, and various way-moving systems)
  • Proficiency in mechanical measurement and inspection techniques including the use of indicators, micrometers, and calipers
  • Experience with electrical measurement and calibration techniques (voltmeter, oscilloscope, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of fastening and assembly processes
  • Proficiency in using basic hand tools
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

 

Not Required But Our Ideal Candidate Would Have:

  • Associates or technical in a technical field
  • Background in field service
  • General understanding of PLCs and pneumatics
