We are seeking a hands-on individual who excels in both theoretical and practical skills within the machine tool industry. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working on a range of machines for processing structural steelwork.
Responsibilities:
- Installation of Machines: Techniques for aligning and leveling precision machine tools.
- Initial Start-Up: Perform initial start-up and full setup of the machine’s safety system.
- Service Connections: Connect all onboard services, including electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Lubrication: Use oils and greases for motive power, efficient cutting, and lubrication, including safe handling and hazard identification.
- Tooling Setup: Build up and program tooling for processing materials, including drilling, milling, scribing, punching, shearing, selecting bandsaw blades, and changing plasma torch consumables.
- Testing and Commissioning: Test and commission machines, including programming test and production parts.
- Technical Expertise: Understand cutting and machining technologies.
- Diagnostics: Perform fault finding and diagnostic techniques.
Qualifications:
- Practical experience with hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of machine installation and alignment.
- Ability to connect and handle electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Experience with lubrication and safe handling of substances.
- Strong understanding of cutting and machining technologies.
- Proficient in fault finding and diagnostics.
