Overview:

We are looking for a Fire Alarm Technician to install and update fire alarm systems in commercial and residential buildings. You will perform inspections, test alarms, and troubleshoot or document any issues. You will also respond to emergency service calls and ensure the systems are functioning properly. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform installation/programming on integrated security and fire alarm systems.
  • Communicates with dispatch on current work order status 
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational/product manuals.
  • Troubleshoot and repair as needed.
  • Will be required to participate in after-hours service program.
  • Supervise and inspect the installation of equipment 
  • Completes certification courses on internal and external products used.
  • Complete and submit all required task-related, activity, productivity, and other documentation in a timely manner.

 

Qualifications

  • Low voltage electrical systems
  • Experience with hand tools, test equipment, and multimeter usage
  • Able to climb ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements.
  • Able to obtain and retain any licenses that are required 
  • Working knowledge of electronic and digital test equipment.
  • Basic understanding of Network concepts and architectures.
