Full-Time Trainee Transport Refrigeration Installation Technician

We’re hiring a Trainee Transport Refrigeration Installation Technician with diesel experience. Responsibilities include installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration units in transport settings. HVAC experience is a plus, but not required as training is provided. The starting wage is $20-$22/hr. After six months, we’ll sponsor your Level 1 certification, raising your wage to $25-$27/hr. Passing the Level 2 exam could further increase your wage to $30/hr.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing diesel and refrigeration systems

  • Identifying maintenance risks on equipment

  • Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults

  • Cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems, and performing warranty services

  • Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently

  • Providing technical direction

 

Qualifications:

  • Willingness to be trained and tested for National Transport Refrigeration Certification

  • Experience with or Knowledge of Diesel Engine or Diesel Technology required to be considered for opportunity

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Clean driving record

 

Our Ideal Candidate Would Have:

  • Experience with troubleshooting Transportation Refrigeration

  • Holds Level 1 or Level 2 Transportation Refrigeration Licenses

  • Transport Refrigeration (Level 1 or Level 2 Certification)

  • Diesel Mechanic

  • Engineer Equipment Mechanic

  • Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic

  • Marine Machinery Mechanic

  • Powered Support Systems Mechanic

  • Express Lube Technician
