Immediate Hiring Need for an Application Engineer
$70-85K Full Time
We are looking for a talented Application Engineer to join our team. The Application Engineer will be responsible for preparing quotes for the sales team. They will review specifications, schedules, drawings, and other information to determine the best application. You will work directly with the sales team to assess equipment needs and determine requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare quotes and responses for the sales team.
- Review specifications, schedules, drawings, and other information
- Analyze customer’s specification and provide clarifications and exceptions.
- Function as liaison between the sales team and engineering team.
- Confirm orders match quoted systems and validate technical viability.
- Develop and maintain technical and business knowledge of industry
- Solicit quotations/pricing for third-party items, as needed.
- Maintain an expert level of product knowledge and the application of products.
- Identify customer’s needs and sales opportunities to help future growth.
- Identify relevant cost and schedule impacts any variation from proposal would incur.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering but a Technical degree will be considered.
- 2+ years in Project Engineering or Sales Engineering or related experience.
- Proficient knowledge and understanding of power conversion electrical equipment, specifically UPS’s, Rectifiers, batteries, Inverters, and AC & DC Distribution.
- Basic understanding of mechanical layouts and requirements in the construction of electrical equipment rooms.
- Ability to work in a team environment and coordinate with other departments to achieve goals and objectives with minimum direct supervision.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office products (Project, Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point).
- Spanish proficiency is preferred
