The Field Service Technician will be responsible to assemble, install and repair electromechanical equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge of electrical wiring/troubleshooting, computer skills, and hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing motors would be beneficial for this position. Must be able to communicate well, both verbally and written, for interactions with the client and for writing service repair reports. Travel will be required, up to 60%, both domestically and internationally. |
Knowledge of mechanical assemblies, servo motors, PLC logic, embedded computers, gears, bearings, linear drives, electronics and mechanical systems, internet connectivity. |
Ability to read and interpret construction and engineering drawings. |

Must be able to occasionally, or as needed, lift and or move more than 75 pounds. |
Occasionally required to sit, climb or work in high places or tight spaces. |
Willingness and ability to safely operate power tools and construction equipment as necessary for door installation. |
Will be accountable for assigned tools. Correct use and maintenance a must. |
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to be used and maintained. |
Assemble, stage, set up, and test product. |
Crate components for transportation according to defined SOP. |
Load crates onto trucks for delivery to job site. |
Unload trucks as product is delivered to Harleysville factory. |
Pick-up parts from local vendors as needed. |
Unpack delivered supplies and log into inventory, as needed. |
Understand the features and benefits of all door products, and how to communicate to all levels. |
Travel to customer sites for installation. Assist subcontractors with installation; be willing and able to physically install if the subcontractor is not available. |
