Sr. Project Manager - Construction

The San Francisco, CA branch is searching for a Senior Project Manager to oversee a very large project anticipated to take approximately 2.5 years. Job Responsibilities This is a design-assist project, meaning that the project manager will need to be well versed in the building services equipment installation systems, as well as general technical knowledge to coordinate with:

  • Project Structural Engineer and construction,
  • Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing coordination,
  • Architectural finishes, CA specific code related requirements, etc.

Candidate will also need to have a solid foundation of best installation practices and with equipment and site logistics needs for hoisting and rigging, storage, offload locations, etc. Some of the duties required include, but not limited to:

  • Coordinating all contract activities from the project award stage to completion of the equipment installation and provide a progress review of projects to ensure that contract documents are consistent with the required scope of the project.
  • Communicate directly with multiple representatives of the general contractors, owners, architects and designers, also State and Local authorities and regulatory agencies concerning project design, preparations, and scheduling of installation for the equipment.
  • Candidate will also work closely with the internal sales staff, construction superintendents and senior leadership to ensure a successful project from both the financial and customer perspectives.
  • Take lead on weekly Major Project Reviews
  • Manage subcontractor schedules and site performance (and vendors)
  • Enforce safe work environment is established in all working areas
  • Assist with training an associate Project Manager


Candidate should have a minimum of 7-10 years of industry project management experience. Knowledge of the principals of cost estimating, scheduling and contract administration.  Ability to accurately interpret construction contractual documents and contract modifications to determine cost of such change. Accurately analyze situations and assist in developing contingencies for estimates Ability to read and review architectural and structural drawings Must possess proficient oral and written communication and presentation skills and be able to communicate effectively with wide variety of people with diverse background of all levels and disciplines. Must be able to develop and maintain positive, cooperative, team-oriented relationships with co-workers, supervisors, managers, clients and others in contact with the job.


Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or business administration required.
