A large commerical building systems company, has an opportunity for a Mod Assistant Supervisor ( Supervisor Trainee)  in New York City.
As a Mod Assistant Supervisor ( Supervisor Trainee) , you will be responsible to direct and supervise field installation for modernization operations. Areas of responsibility include:

  • Managing the safety program
  • Managing/scheduling project labor, the expenditure of labor, material and other assets
  • Performing and managing technical surveys and estimates
  • Field education and safety training
  • Assisting account managers in estimating proposals and making technical presentations
  • Interface with customer; typically building construction trades, managers and superintendents

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or any related field experience preferred

  • Be an organized self-starter with excellent time and project management skills
  • Ability to lead and manage product installation (i.e. installation and logistics)
  • Have prior supervisory/management experience leading a technical team, preferably in a union environment
  • Have strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with people at multiple levels within the organization as well as external customers
  • Possess an interest and aptitude for working in a building/construction environment
  • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous process improvement in a dynamic fast paced environment
  • Possess strong listening, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Have the ability to interpret basic financial statements and grasp profit and loss accountability
  • Be results oriented
  • Have a customer focused outlook
  • Be a team player
  • Be energetic and enthusiastic
  • Will demonstrate strength in business judgment and decision making

Posses computer skills with full control of Microsoft Office Excel, Outlook, and Word)
