Overview

Field technicians provide construction observation and materials testing to assist in producing a product that is constructed in accordance with the contract documents and municipality construction standards. Materials testing is a critical element to the construction industry. Our engineering technicians are certified in several specialties including the testing of soils, concrete, and asphalt. All work is reviewed by a registered professional engineer.

Qualifications

  • High school Diploma or Equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s License with Acceptable Traffic Violation History
  • Your Own Reliable Transportation
  • Ability to Pass a Background Check and Drug Screening

Responsibilities

  • Under close supervision of higher level technicians or staff professionals, assist on tasks and perform basic testing and observation duties.
  • Provides clear documentation of findings and results.
  • Communications information to Project Manager (PM) and discuss accuracy of data.
  • Submits documentation and communicates results as directed by the PM.
  • Will be placed in a progressively increased role of training and responsibility in assignments.
  • Maintains assigned equipment.
  • Follow safety rules and practices as well as any other safety requirements for all projects. Perform pre-task planning prior to executing work. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
  • Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
